H-ITT offers both IR (infrared) and RF (radio frequency) remotes and base receiver stations that allow you to implement your interactive response system the way you want, providing flexibility and cost effectiveness without sacrificing quality and performance. H-ITT’s systems integrate: Both IR and RF systems communicate seamlessly with our software and can co-exist in the same room and operate transparently with our CRS software allowing you the option to change from IR to RF or vise-versa without requiring students to purchase a different remote. All of H-ITT’s remotes provide two-way communication with indicators that let the user know their answer has been received by the base receiver station.
H-ITT’s RF product lines are available in two basic system configurations as described below. Both utilize state-of-the-art technology to provide the fastest real-time response system available. Operating in the international recognized ISM 2.4Ghz band with 2MBS data speed, the systems can process over 500 responses per second.
- Multiple Choice (MC): Standard Remotes have 13 keys that provide for 10 unique responses (A/1-J/0), forward and reverse keys for scrolling through self paced tests and other functions, and a special function download/Channel select key. A red/green indicator light provides confirmation to the user that their answer has been received. H-ITT provides special needs remotes that have more keys and inputs to accommodate limited mobility users.
All H-ITT’s RF Base receiver stations are compatible with MC remotes.
- Multi- Digit (MD): Remotes have 20 keys capable of multiple character alpha and numeric responses as well as various math symbols. 9 keys (1-9) provide alternate Alpha characters (similar to a telephone keypad), 5 keys with various symbols (like +/-/=), 3 editing keys and 3 function keys. Multi-Digit remotes have a 68 x 96 DOT Matrix LCD screen with variable lines and characters depending on the mode selected. Both the red/green indicator light, and the LCD screen provide confirmation to the user that their answer has been received. Multi-Digit remotes can operate in the MC mode and are compatible with all H-ITT’s RF Base receiver stations, however only Multi-Digit Base receivers can process multiple character answers.
H-ITT’s IR system provides an expandable, high performance, Multiple Choice type response system at the industries best pricing. H-ITT was the first to introduce the two-way IR system, and remains the leader with the fastest real-time two-way system available. IR Remotes have 13 keys that provide for 10 unique responses (A/1-J/0), forward and reverse keys for scrolling through self paced tests and other functions along with a special receive mode function key. A red/green indicator light provides confirmation to the user that their answer has been received.
The IR Base receiver can collect and confirm up to 50 responses per second and can link together to provide secure IR reception in virtually any class or auditorium size.
