Software Overview

H-ITT software is free, there are no licensing or usage fees. Choose the software package that fits your application best. H-ITT offers several Classroom response system packages:

H-ITT CRS

H-ITT CRS was developed by teaching professors to deliver a powerful data collection and analysis software set that is simple and intuitive to use. The flexibility and options of the H-ITT CRS are all directed towards allowing you to maintain all aspects of what and how you teach and seamlessly integrate all the benefits that "clickers" provide for an interactive classroom. The H-ITT CRS is used by educational institutions from kindergarten through advanced college graduate levels as well as corporate board room activities and training.

H-ITT CRS, is available in two versions you can use depending on what hardware selection you have made.

Q: Should I use the H-ITT CRS V2 program, or use the H-ITT CRS V1 program for my class?
A: First time users should install the V2 program, it works with all hardware. If you are a current H-ITT user with multiple choice hardware then using V2 software is optional. There are some changes to the Acquisition menu options as well as Analyzer options that may require some learning curve.
Some things for current users to Consider:

The H-ITT CRS V2 is fully compatible with classes created in H-ITT CRS V1 software, however classes created in V2 Acquisition can not be graded in the V1 Analyzer program. This issue is described in both V1 and V2 software overviews linked to below.
If you have a class pack and use the remotes from class to class and are familiar with the V1 software, then there is no need use V2 software, if you purchase a class pack with multi-digit capable remotes, the V2 software will be included.
If your students purchase their remotes (typical of higher ed) and you want to transition to multi-digit response capabilities then use V2 software and have new students purchase multi-digit capable remotes. You can have IR and RF remotes, as well as multiple choice and multi-digit remotes all in the same class. However, know that if you ask a Fill in the blank question type, only the multi-digit capable remotes can input an answer, so using V2 software to get 100% participation for fill in the blank type questions requires that all participants have multi-digit capable remotes.

The H-ITT CRS version 2 is used with both Multiple Choice and Multi-digit capable remotes and has all the features of version 1.x.x software plus additional modes used for collecting and grading Multi-digit responses.

H-ITT QGen2

QGen2 allows you to create and/or edit question statements and content for seamless integration with the H-ITT CRS version 2 software. Compatible with standard question sets provided by various publishers and content providers that can export to Blackboard student management systems. The QGen2 output is a H-ITT XML format that can automatically customize the set-up of Acquisition for each question individually within the set of questions.

H-ITT SDK

The H-ITT SDK provides the engine for developers to create their own interactive system using any of H-ITT hardware combinations. The SDK decodes H-ITTā€™s proven, secure, two-way, multi-level-redundant, error-correcting communication protocol and simply provides the clickers ID number, and the Key pressed. Development time for the hardware interface is minimized and trouble free.
